Muir Maxwell Trust
FS 2012 is proud to work with the Muir Maxwell Trust (MMT), a charity that supports the 70,000 children in the UK with epilepsy and their families. Established in 2003 by Ann and Jonny Maxwell, the Trust is named after the Maxwell's 14 year old son, Muir, who is profoundly damaged by a severe form of epilepsy that began in infancy.
All too familiar with the difficulties that raising a child with epilepsy brings to family life, the Maxwells have worked tirelessly, raising over £6m to meet the immediate practical needs of families like themselves, collaborating with medical professionals and other charitable organisations and providing a vital support network for struggling families - an inspirational achievement thus far that sees MMT punching way above it's weight!
Essential funds have been raised year on year by way of sensational fundraising events. The FS 2012 partnership with the Muir Maxwell Trust will see the combination of established fundraising and event management skills from both the MMT and FS teams, climaxing with two spectacular evenings: the internationally renowned St Andrews Charity Fashion Show, celebrating it's 20th Anniversary, which will be preceded in Edinburgh by the inaugural FS 2012 Gala Dinner. This stunning new fundraising event will take place in the historic surroundings of Mansfield Traquair. Both nights will be the triumphant conclusion of an eight month campaign of fundraising with fashion.
Each stage will be set to make a real and lasting difference by raising as much money as possible for this most worthy cause.
The Muir Maxwell Trust is a Registered Charity. Charity Number SCO SC034364.
